Abstract

Penyakit Ginjal Kronis (PGK) adalah penurunan fungsi ginjal secara bertahap selama 3 bulan atau lebih, pada akhirnya akan mengakibatkan penyakit ginjal stadium akhir yang sifatnya ireversibel. Jumlah pasien cuci darah dan angka kematian di dunia termasuk Indonesia bertambah tiap tahun. Pengobatan Integratif medis dan Chinese Herbal Medicine (CHM) tterbukti meningkatkan fungsi ginjal, memiliki efek perlindungan ginjal, mengurangi gejala klinis, memperlambat perkembangan penyakit, menunda terjadinya cuci darah dan transplantasi ginjal, mengurangi komplikasi, meningkatkan kualitas hidup. Tujuan penulisan review adalah menyampaikan perkembangan hasil penelitian terkini mengenai pengobatan integratif obat medis dan CHM dalam penanganan terhadap PGK. Systematic review digunakan sebagai metode dalam penelitian ini. Penelusuran data tahun 2016-2026 dari Scopus, ScienceDirect, Pubmed, Elsevier dan Google Scholar. Kriteria inklusi: laporan hasil penelitian terhadap manusia usia dewasa, tanpa batasan bahasa, memuat kata kunci “Penyakit Ginjal Kronis”, “Chinese Herbal Medicine” dan “Pengobatan Integratif”, mencantumkan adanya penggunaan obat medis serta komposisi CHM, durasi penelitian dan parameter adanya perbaikan fungsi ginjal yang didapat. Kriteria eksklusi adalah penelitian hewan, penelitian terhadap manusia yang menerapkan terapi selain integrasi CHM dan obat medis, yaitu akupuntur, bekam, moksa, massage, serta penggunaan CHM tanpa obat medis. Diperoleh 58 artikel Uji Terkontrol Acak membandingkan grup terapi integratif dengan grup kontrol tanpa CHM. Hasilnya fungsi ginjal mengalami perbaikan yang signifikan pada grup terapi dibandingkan grup kontrol. Terapi Integratif efektif meningkatkan fungsi ginjal, mengurangi gejala klinis, memperlambat perkembangan penyakit, menunda terjadinya cuci darah.
