An Analysis Inner Conflict of Major Character in Mansfield Park Novel by Jane Austen

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to find out the Conflict presented in the novel Mansfield Park and to reveal the inner conflict in this novel. The data of this study were from the novel Mansfield Park, and the structural approach was used in this research. The data analysis that used in this study was descriptive analysis. The method of data collection used by the writer to collect the data from data source in form of a novel Mansfield Park by Jane Austen are close reading, noting, quoting and highlight data. The technique used in order to understand and to describe Conflict based on the characterization of the characters. In relation to the inner conflict found in Mansfield Park novel there are nine inner conflict can be found. The theory used in this research was based on structural correlated with the story in the novel. The inner conflict was found in the novel are: Sadness, Surprised, Distress, Dissampointed, Jealeous, Opressed, Afraid, Shock, and Regret.
