Hubungan Tingkat Stress dengan Kejadian Excessive Daytime Sleepiness (EDS) Pada Generasi Z

Stres merupakan faktor psikologis yang dapat mengganggu kualitas tidur dan memicu terjadinya Excessive Daytime Sleepiness (EDS). Generasi Z rentan mengalami stres akibat tuntutan akademik, sosial, dan paparan teknologi digital yang intens. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat stres dengan kejadian Excessive Daytime Sleepiness pada Generasi Z. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel berjumlah 326 responden Generasi Z yang dipilih menggunakan teknik proportional sampling. Tingkat stres diukur menggunakan Perceived Stress Scale-10 (PSS-10) dan kejadian Excessive Daytime Sleepiness diukur menggunakan Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS). Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Spearman’s rho. Hasil: Sebagian besar responden mengalami stres kategori sedang sebanyak 243 orang (74,54%), diikuti stres ringan 69 orang (21,17%) dan stres berat 14 orang (4,29%). Kejadian Excessive Daytime Sleepiness ditemukan pada 173 responden (53,07%). Hasil uji Spearman’s rho menunjukkan nilai ρ=0,000 (α=0,05) dengan koefisien korelasi r=0,495, yang menunjukkan hubungan positif dengan kekuatan sedang antara tingkat stres dan kejadian Excessive Daytime Sleepiness. Penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara tingkat stres dengan kejadian Excessive Daytime Sleepiness pada Generasi Z dengan arah hubungan positif dan kekuatan sedang. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat stres, semakin besar kecenderungan terjadinya EDS pada Generasi Z. Generasi Z disarankan untuk mengelola tingkat stres, menjaga pola tidur yang teratur, serta meningkatkan kesadaran terhadap kesehatan mental guna menurunkan risiko terjadinya Excessive Daytime Sleepiness.
